• Lives, the Biography Resource - The largest collection of biographical information on the web. This is a good place to start your search for biographical information.
• Biography-Center - Another good starting point for biographical information with over 10,000 biographies.
• Biography.com - Short biographies from the Cambridge Biographical Encyclopedia.
• Biographical Dictionary - Search by name, date, or by subject (keyword). Very brief biographies.
• Who2 - Brief biographies of famous people. Here is where you will find movie, television, and music stars. Each biography has a link to 4 other web sites for the person.

Government and History

• The American Presidency - Do you have to do a report on a president? This is the place to go. Information from three different Grolier Encyclopedias, sound bites from presidential speeches, and results from all presidential elections.
• POTUS : Presidents of the United States - Lots of information here including members of the cabinet, presidential highlights and links to other biographical sites.
• The Presidents of the United States - Biographies, and inagural addresses. This is a good site to visit if you need information on the presidents' wives. From the White House.
• The Hall of Presidents - A picture of each president, and a short biography. If you click on the small picture of the president, you can see a much larger version of the picture.
• Colonial Hall - Biographies of the founding fathers such as the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
• The Delegates to the Constitutional Convention - Short biographies of the 55 delegates.
• Biographical Directory of the United States Congress - From 1774 to the present. This site has biographies of senators, representatives, presidents and vice-presidents.
• Explorers - Biographies of a large number of explorers.
