PLANETARIUM
The Christa McAuliffe Planetarium opened on June 21, 1990, in honor of Christa McAuliffe. The planetarium has displays, pictures, and models of space, science, NASA, and the solar system. There are items on display that have been in space or in a NASA shuttle. The volunteers at the planetarium are there to explain these diplays by leading school tours and answering vistors' questions.
Planetarium Volunteer, Cathey Conn, is being interviewed by RJHS student, Amanda Murray
To become a volunteer at the planetarium you would have to call and ask for Dottie Maloney, the volunter coordinator. For other interest in volunteer work, check your local newspaper, or call museums, libraries, planetariums, etc.
Volunteering in your community is a great experience to learn new things and work with other people!
