Integrations is focused on directly working with students. Reserving labs or digital cameras, preparing lessons, mentorships. Our Professional Development site is more focused on training and the acquisition of skills.

BORROWING EQUIPMENT:

We have software, digital cameras, projectors, televise converters, laptops, and other tools to borrow. We also have PC and MAC software install CD's for Inspiration, FC, and Office. Please email techloan@concord.k12.nh.us with your request. Include the following on your email:

(1) Equipment needed: Don't over-do it. Be reasonable at first. For example we only have a couple of laptops and one digital camera.
(2) Timetable: We have a maximum of one week right now as we build inventory based on needs. Give us a start and end date.

Your email is your contract and establishes our expectation. People who do not return "the goods" within the time specific are "shut off" (like me at the Concord Public Library -- UGH! -SR).

MENTORSHIPS

Last year we completed over 20 mentorships. Steve Rothenberg or Ruthanne Bradley, along with volunteer Naomi Charest, will come to your class and work with you, on your curriculum, to integrate technology. WE COME TO YOU in every sense.

Some of our experiences last year included:

• 4th Grade at Conant (Penny, Olson, Noyes): Use of online historic weather data in creating questions and hypothesis (WWW, Excel)
• 5th Grade at Broken Grounds (: Mapping and outlining researched information on Explorers (Inspiration, WWW)
• 12th Grade at CHS (Browne, Bofinger): Advanced statistical analysis in Biology (Excel).
• 9th Grade at CHS (Mulvey): Mapping of storylines and characters (Inspriration)
• 10th Grade and CHS and 8th Grade at RMS (Mike.., Sacks): Use of a database to gather social studies data (Filemaker, Clarisworks, WWW)
• 3rd Grade at BGS (Donohue, Hastings): Using Inspiration to map research on bats. WWW searching through the student portal.
• 2nd Grade at BMS (O'Brien, Yarlott): Research on the Web (Homepage, WWW, Excel)
• K/1/2 at Kimball (Smith): Graphing and researching weather data on the web (WWW, Excel, Homepage)
• 7th Grade at RMS (Wait, Ryan, Hartz, Edelstein): Integrated month-long unit on culture (Inspiration, Powerpoint, Excel)
• 5th Grade at Walker (Bourassa): Notetaking, research, and organization skills (Inspiration, WWW)
